Smith Ski Bus Policies

ski_iconAll pick-up locations, times, and directions are listed on the Smith Transportation Ski Bus web site, and it is your responsibility to follow those directions and to be on time - have your gear loaded and be on the bus by the departure time.   If not, you will be left behind.  If you have pre-purchased a ticket, you will not receive a Refund or Credit if you miss the bus.

ski_iconScheduled pick-up locations could be canceled due to low enrollment, and you will either need to switch to another pick-up location - OR - if you have pre-purchased a ticket, you may either transfer it to a future trip or cancel and receive a refund.  Though it is very rare, trips could be canceled due to low enrollment; and, if you have pre-purchased a ticket, you would receive a refund.  Smith Transportation Ltd. Ski Bus will not be responsible for any equipment rental fees that you may incure/lose as a result of a trip cancellation.

ski_iconSki Bus trips involve physically active outdoor sports that test a person's physical and mental limits and carry with them the potential for death, serious injury and property loss.  Inherent dangers of skiing and snowboarding include falls, collisions with natural hazards, other people or object and injuries due to cold temperatures.   Potential injuries include strains, sprains, breaks, cuts, punctures, abrasions, broken limbs and even accidental death.   The passenger hereby assumes the risks of injury, damage or loss that he/she may sustain as a result in particitpating in any and all activities connected with or associated with Smith Transportation Ltd. Ski Bus trips.

ski_iconSmith Transportation Ski Bus travels snow or shine, so rain/snow storms do not justify cancellations of trips.   As long as MOTH and/or Mount Washington Alpine Resort deem that the road is safe for travel, we go.   If the road is closed to Mount Washington Alpine Resort, and you have special plans at the resort, sorry, you will have to arrange your own transportation.  If it is stormy at the resort, any credits on lift tickets will need to be taken up with the resort staff.

ski_iconThe Ski Bus will be locked and inaccessible during the day as the driver needs to rest/sleep.   It is not recommended to leave any valuables on the bus because Smith Transportation Ski Bus cannot guarantee the integrity of all of its customers.   Wallets, purses, CD players, etc. should be brought with you and/or put in a locker in the lodge.  Smith Transportation Ski Bus will not be responsible or liable for any lost or stolen items.

ski_iconMany skis, boards and bags look the same; Smith Transportion Ski Bus recommends that you label your equipment to help prevent a mix up.

ski_iconMost people wish to sleep on the way to the resort; it would be a consideration to your fellow riders if you keep any talking to a whisper, put your cell phone on silent or vibrate and your IPod (or similar device) to a low volume so that you will not bother anyone.

ski_iconNo smoking is permitted on the Ski Bus.

ski_iconAny obnoxious, lewd, intoxicated, abusive or other inappropriate behavior may result in removal from the Ski Bus, and you will be responsible for your own transportation home.  No refund or credit will be given, and you may be prohibited from future trips.   Any and all damages caused by you shall be paid by you to owners of damaged items.

ski_iconIf you are not at the bus at the stated departure time from the ski resort (typically 4:00 pm), you will be left behind and will be responsible for your own transportation home.
